With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carmelita B. Barnes of Orrum, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 10, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bullock and Dulah Mae Anderson Bullock; her husband Norman Gene Barnes; her son Jason Derek Barnes; and her siblings, Holmes, Bruce Bullock, Odessa Hayes, Virginia Britt, Elise Grimsley, Bernice Sanderson, Katie Rich and Marjorie Hester.
She is survived by: her children, Norman D. Barnes (Teresa) of Chadburn, NC and Vanessa Edwards of Red Springs, NC; her siblings, Lester Bullock (Mary) of Lumberton, NC, Linda Roper of Arizona and Phyllis Allen (George) of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Justin, Chelse, Ransey, Jason, Steven, Sarah and Caroline; and her great grandchildren, Nolan, Adilyn, Hudson, Brody, Rebecca, Alysah, Mikey and Adelyn. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
