He was predeceased by: his parents, James Goode and Pearl Lockamy Goode; his wife Josephine; his daughter Tonya Hewitt; his sister Peggy Godwin; and his granddaughter Sarah Yarbrough.

He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Goode and Stephanie Ivey (Tony) of Orrum, NC; and his sister Judy Perkins. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family requests that no flowers be sent.
