He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Spruill Tingle; his children, Julia Tingle, Linda Burton and Raymond Tingle, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ronald Burton, Jr. (Jessica), Carol Kirchhoff (Charlie) and John-Michael Harrison (Daniela); and his great grandchildren, Ronald Burton III, Ray Burton, Clara Kirchhoff, Everett Kirchhoff and Carter B. Harrison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
