With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Lambert Midyette of Oriental, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 22, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Preston "G. P." Midyette and Irma Ross Midyette; and his siblings, George Preston Midyette, Jr. and Betsy Ross Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Diana Midyette; his sons, Kenneth L. Midyette, Jr. (Robin Carberry) of Oriental, Lewis Midyette (Page) of Raleigh and John Thomas "Tommy" Midyette of Raleigh; his stepchildren, Rob Hardison of Minnesott Beach and Heather Potter (Brian) of Minnesott Beach; his siblings, Hugh "Pastry" Taylor Midyette (Dixie) of Oriental, Fay Bond of Oriental and Billie Jean Furlong of Matthews; his grandchildren, Kyle Midyette (Brittany) of Jamestown and Cameron Midyette of Raleigh; his great grandchildren, Clara Midyette of Jamestown and Elise Midyette of Jamestown; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Hardison of New Bern, Hannah Hardison of Minnesott Beach, Kayley Ireland of Vanceboro and Camryn Potter of Wilmington; and his stepgreat-granddaughter Elaina Hardison of Minnesott Beach.
