He is survived by: his wife Gayle Christine Goodman; his children, Bryan O'Neal (Tammy) and Sharon Sturgess (Stanley) of Hickory, NC; his grandchildren, Erin Sturgess, Rebekah Sturgess, Matthew Sturgess, Peyton O'Neal and Liam O'Neal; and his sister Gretchen Windley (Heber) of Franklinton, NC..
