He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buck Dean and Lockie Johnson Parsons of Southgate, Michigan; his brother Darrell Scott Parsons; his stepmother Nellie Parsons of Wilkesboro; his brother Jeffery Parsons (Michelle) of Lincoln Park, Michigan; his nephew Ryan Parsons of Allen Park, Michigan; his niece Lauren Hicks (Zack) of Trenton, Michigan; his great-nephews, Alex Parsons of Trenton, Michigan, Zachery Hicks of Trenton, Michigan and Jameson Hicks of Trenton, Michigan; his uncle Lamuel Johnson (Barbara) of Prescott, Arizona; his stepsiblings, Barry Church of Mooresville and Angie Cook of Mooresville; and his close friend Janet Parsons of South Carolina.
