He is survived by: his wife Jean Tayes Sloan; his children, Eddie Sloan (Denise) and Brenda Wallace; his grandchildren, Wesley Sloan (Abigail) and Karen Sloan; his great grandchild Charlie Jo Sloan; and his siblings, Howard Sloan (Christine), Elizabeth Foster and Lucille Shaver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
