He is survived by: his children, Sandra Capps (Bill) of Fort Mill, SC and Jason Merritt (Raquel) of Concord; his sister-in-law Deanna Merritt of Welcome; his grandchildren, Holden Capps and Lucia Merritt Steelman; and his great grandchild Serena Steelman.
