It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Irene Holmes Holland (Olin, North Carolina), who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Greenberry Holmes and Sue Fraley Holmes; her son Clay Franklin Holland, Jr.; her siblings, Frances H. Feimster, Lola H. Adams, Robinette H. Feimster, Dee H. York Vanstory and Clarence F. Holmes; her uncle Clarence Carlyle Holmes; and her aunts, Bertha Frances Holmes and Nova Elena Holmes.
She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Holland Brown (Donald). She is also survived by Numerous nieces and nephews.
