She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Henry Gilliam and Ollie McDowell White Gilliam; her husband Enoch Ahijah "E. A." Williams; her children, Delbert Williams and Golda Williams; and her sisters, Alta Davis and Myrtle Severino.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Williams (Marie) of Smithfield, NC, Reba Payne (Edward) of Old Fort, NC and Justine Moses (Norris) of Casar, NC; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Williams of Black Mountain, NC; her brother F. A. Gilliam of Virginia Beach, VA; her grandchildren, Kedron Payne, Adriel Payne, Nathanael Payne, Patrick Williams, Lisa Bagnall, Daphne Cabiness and Nelson Moses; and her close friend Edith Biddix.
