With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Tipton of Old Fort, North Carolina, who passed away on March 23, 2021 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Tipton and Gwen Tipton; his sister Beverly Ann Tonna; and his nephew Todd. He is survived by: his wife Denise Richardson Tipton; his children, Walter Ray "Jimmy" Tipton, Jamie Lynn Thomas (Tyler), Gwendolyn Yvonne "Wendy" Tipton of Old Fort, NC, Robert Frank Tipton and Julia Renee Wooley; his stepchildren, Daniel Phillip Hobson (Jenni) of England, Nathan Mitchell Hobson of England, Reiss Benjamin Hobson of England and Chelsea Riana Hobson of Old Fort, NC; his grandchildren, Destiny, Serenity, Will, Neyland, Drake and Alexander; his siblings, Gloria McGaffey, George "Bud" Tipton (Diane) of Canton, NC, Yvonne "Bonnie" Walker (Glen) and Laurie Bonka (Keith); and his brother-in-law Henry Tonna.
