We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2022, at the age of 59, Roger Barnett Banks of Old Fort, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Estelle Austin; and his nephew Patrick Ray. He is survived by: his father Barnett Banks of South Carolina; his son Christopher Banks (Holly) of Asheville; his sisters, Donna Peterson of Winston Salem and Marylee Ray (Jerry) of Weaverville; his nieces, Regina Ray of Asheville and Angela Mosley (Steve) of Barnardsville; and his close friends, Sammie and Rev. Coye Wheeler. He is also survived by Several other great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
