He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Walsh Grooms; and his brothers, Lee Grooms (Shirley) of Old Fort, Jimmy Grooms of Black Mountain, Gary Grooms of Old Fort and Mark Grooms (Gretta) of Maryville, Tennessee. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
