It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Moore of Old Fort, North Carolina, who passed away on October 16, 2021, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Margaret Shope Stevens, Fred Bishop, Sr., Eunice, Lonnie Shotwell, Dorothy and Lee Moore; his parents, Gayle Stevens Bishop (Fred) of Old Fort and Larry Moore (Diane) of Old Fort; his fiancée Crystal Hinson of Old Fort; his daughter Carrington Harris Honeycutt (Luke) of Bakersville; his stepsister Tonjia Wenczel; his grandparents, Carroll Stevens of Old Fort and Virgie Bishop of Old Fort; his great-aunt Dee Stevens of Old Fort; his uncle Randy Stevens (Margaret) of Old Fort; and his grandmother Chick.

It was in the course of caring for a family member that he became infected with Covid.
