With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Ruth McEntire (Old Fort, North Carolina), who passed away on April 20, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Millard McEntire; her parents, Melvin Grady Carver and Della Vestire Smith; her siblings, James, Andy, Melvin, Mickey and Ruby; and her half-brother Joe Carver of Arden, NC..
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Alan McEntire, Old Fort and Melvin Bryant McEntire (Lucy Woods McEntire) of Hong Kong; her half-siblings, Bill Carver of Springdale, AR and Bobbie Lee Kinney of Fort Worth, TX; her stepdaughter Sheila Perry of Annapolis, MD; and also, Arlene Sowers and Marion. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great grandson affectionately known to her by the pet name "Little Marvin." In addition she is survived by seven nieces, one nephew and many other relatives.
