She was predeceased by: her parents, Ransom Simmons and Ruby Haynes Simmons of Old Fort. She is survived by: her children, Toni Hughes Bailey (Mike) of Fletcher, Marina Hensley Collins (Robbie) of Connelly Springs, Cindy Hughes Hile (Clay) of Black Mountain and Matthew Garrison Hughes of Black Mountain; and her grandchildren, Ryan Hughes, Stephanie Bowen, Terry Hensley, Jaime Hensley, Meagan Robles, Bre Price, Alec Hile, Eli Hile, Isabella Hile, Dalton Hughes, Danielle Collins and Maggie. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Due to Covid our celebration of her life will take place outdoors at the Waldensian Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 1 pm, Saturday November 21, 2020.
