It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Michael Ammons of Old Fort, North Carolina, born in Andrews, North Carolina, who passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvie Dean West and Mitchell Ammons; his significant other Richard Medonia; his sister Betty Jean Hicks; and his brother-in-law Donald Waldrup.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joyce Ann Runion of Asheville, Theresa Ann Waldrup of Swannanoa, Melanie Dawn Reising (David Reising Jr.) of Broad River, Bobby Ray Ammons Sr. of Black Mountain, Ralph Ammons of Black Mountain and Rickey Ray Ammons (Lynn) of North Fork. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nephews.
