He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herbert Willoughby and Mary Magdalene Maurie Willoughby; his wife Susan "Sue" Dow Willoughby; his grandchildren, Carlton "CJ" Adams and Sara Jane Adams; and his brother Herbert Willoughby.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Akers Watson (David) of Old Fort, Clifford Akers (Marie), Michelle Willoughby, Tina Kendrick (Shawn), Dennis Willoughby, James Akers (Jessica) and Jamiesue Willoughby Wright (Eddie) of Marion; and his siblings, David Willoughby and Bernadette Chamberlain. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren.
