He was predeceased by: his father James Ronald Higgins, Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Jackie Ingle and Frank Roberts. He is survived by: his mother Betty Jo McMinn Higgins of Old Fort; and his siblings, Lynne Roberts of Old Fort, Teri Ingle of Asheville, Tina Bowling (Mitch) of Kentucky, Jeff Higgins (Linda) of Old Fort and Joey Higgins (Rebekah) of Old Fort. He is also survived by five nephews and seven nieces.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Baptist Church (9 Chapel Hill Church Rd, Asheville, NC 28803).
