He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Silver and Annie Early Silver; and his brother David Silver of Old Fort. He is survived by: his wife Terry King Silver; his son Lamar Silver (Beth) of Old Fort; and his friend Elizabeth McLeod of Charlotte. He is also survived by Pop Pop to his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grace Community Church (5182 US-70, Marion, NC 28752). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Western Carolina Veterans' Cemetery.
