He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Medford and Annie Jane Suttles Medford; his daughter Machelle Medford Grant; his sons-in-law, Mark Grant and Steve Ford; and his siblings, Joyce Waycaster, Bonnie Summey, Virgie Medford, Margie Medford, James, Ray, Cecil, Floyd, Coet, Grover Garland, Billy and Richard Medford.
He is survived by: his wife Denise Medford; his children, Angelia Clark (Kevin), Janet Medford, Jodi Ford and James Riddle; and his brother Cledus Medford (Peggy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
