He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Turner Baker, Jr. and Julia Burgin Baker; and his wife Sharon Johnson Baker. He is survived by: his sons, Todd Baker (Sara) and Joseph Baker (Susan); his granddaughter Jenna Baker; his great grandchild Ronja; his siblings, Gail Fields, Tony Baker and Mark Baker (Denise); and his pet Mika. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
