He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle G. Potter and Hal C. Potter Sr. of Aurora, NC.; and his brothers, Hal C. Potter Jr. and Lee S. Potter. He is survived by: his children, James Todd Potter (Chantelle) of Blounts Creek, NC and Kristen Anne Potter (Bubbie) of Ocracoke, NC; and his grandchildren, Jenna, Josie, Chelsea, Michael Jr., Sarah, Katie, Caroline, Becky, Brittany, Brieanna and Brendan. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
