James Elvin O'Neal Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Elvin O'Neal of Ocracoke, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though James Elvin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Elvin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Evans O'Neal and James Elvin O'Neal, Sr.. He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Bruce O'Neal and James Patrick O'Neal; his sisters, Helen O'Neal (Roger Parsons) and Diane Edman; and his pet Sunshine.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church (71 School Rd, Ocracoke, NC 27960).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department or the Ocracoke Working Waterman's Association.
