She was predeceased by: her husband James "Sam" Elvin O'Neal; and her parents, John Evans and Eva Louden Evans. She is survived by: her children, Diana Edman of Elizabeth City, NC, Helen A. O'Neal of Ocracoke, NC and James Elvin O'Neal, Jr. of Ocracoke.
