She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Grissett and Mary Ludlum Grissett; and her husband Otha Cecil Phelps. She is survived by: her sons, James "Jimmy" Phelps of Winnabow and Kevin Phelps of Lake Waccamaw; her siblings, Evelyn Batson of Shallotte, Selene Robinson of Supply, Judy Blanton of Wilmington, O'Neil Grissett (Lib) and Kenneth Grissett (Frances); and her niece Frances Ward of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She is also survived by many friends, nieces, and nephews.
