With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Elizabeth (Yarkey) Hunady of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Yarkey and Louise Yarkey; and her husband Denis Hunady. She is survived by: her siblings, Sue Flanagan (Jim), Lin Yarkey, Raymond Yarkey (Linda) and Ken Yarkey (Sandy); her children, Jennifer Knoerzer (Bob) of Winter Springs, FL, Pamela Hunady (Tim Stein) of Denver, NC and Matthew Hunady (Brandy) of Bay Minette, AL; and her grandsons, Joshua and Ryan Knoerzer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sunset Ridge Clubhouse (7046 Ascension Dr SW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to the Lower Cape Fear Life Center Foundation.
