He was predeceased by: his parents, Magnus Tripp and Pauline Hewett Tripp; and his sister Mary Emma Tripp. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Haddock Tripp (Pat); his children, Malton R. Tripp, Jr. (Mimi) of Riegelwood, NC, Shelia Martin (Michael) and Sherry Bordeaux (Richard) of Delco, NC; his sister Nellie Hewett (Mark) of Shallotte, NC; his grandchildren, Love, Hope, Faith, Hannah, Rebekah, Catelyn and Malton Tripp, III; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Maddux, Cooper, Margo, Connor, Arie and Pierce; and his caregivers, CJ Smith-Bailey, Sara Long and Rusty.
