She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edward and Verona Harkey Rogers; and her husband Johnnie Edward Russell. She is survived by: her children, John E. Russell, Jr. (Julie) of Newport, NC and Kimberly "Kim" Mayo (Wayne); and her siblings, Charles Rogers (Barbara) of Hendersonville, NC, Betsy Bennett of Columbia, SC and Sylvia Yarborough of Old Salem, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
