She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Ree Bates and Annie Myers Bates; her husbands, Allen Kendrick, Larry Tuggle and Neil Kennedy; her sons, Terry Allen Kendrick, Derwood Dean Kendrick and Jerry Green Kendrick; her granddaughter Cynthia Kendrick Haywood; and her brother Carroll William Bates.
She is survived by: her son Desmond Jerry Kendrick of Martinsville, VA.; her grandchildren, Christopher Kendrick, Devon Kendrick, N. C. and Stephanie Kendrick of Collinsville, VA; and her siblings, Leonard Bates, Henry Bates, Junior Bates and Betty Blankenship of Axton, VA.. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
