It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma Jean Hanchey of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Edwin and Inez Yarbough Greene; and her husband Jay Twilly Hanchey. She is survived by: her children, Robert Carlos "Bobby" Hanchey (Ann) of Swansboro, Deborah Jean Hanchey Dickson (Raymon) and Don Hanchey (Toni) of Fort Myers; and her siblings, Robert Hatch Greene (Kaye) of Cedar Point, Margaret Karen Smith of Emerald Isle and Judy Tingley (Kitt) of New Port, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
