He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva B. Parrish and Aubrey E. Safrit; and his wife Melene Harris Safrit. He is survived by: his children, Glenda Safrit Williams of Shallotte, NC and Tim Safrit of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Tim Safrit, Jr. of Salisbury and Stefanie Mattingly of China Grove; and his great grandchildren, Jessica Safrit of Salisbury, Katelyn Basinger, Ellie Mattingly, Hunter Mattingly and Nic Mattingly of China Grove.
