He is survived by: his children, James Marion Bertschi of Advance, NC and Linda Bertschi Bolling; his daughter-in-law Sheila Bigford Bertschi of High Point, NC; his grandchildren, Anthony Owen Bertschi (Kirsten) of High Point, NC, Jeremy Paul Bertschi (Eron) of Winston-Salem, NC, April Bertschi Gibson (Michael) of Winston-Salem, NC and Rikki Lee Bertschi (David Hanes) of Advance, NC; his great grandchildren, Landon Bertschi, Harrison Bertschi, Carter Bertschi, Kate Bertschi, Gracyn Bertschi, Emma Bertschi and Tyler Gibson; his sister-in-law Inez Hatcher (Joe Mack) of Fayetteville, NC; and also Pointe.
A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Shallotte Presbyterian Church (5070 M. H. Rourke Drive, Shallotte, NC 28470). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
