He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie P. Efird and Gladys Barbee Efird; and his daughter Connie Gale Efird. He is survived by: his wife Freida Hinson Efird of Oakboro, NC; and his sons, David Efird (Carlene) of Austell, GA and Hoyt Efird (Carrie) of Monroe, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
