It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Dean Hill of Oakboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Heyward Edwards of Union County and Viola Edwards of Union County; her husband Robert L. Hill Jr.; her grandson Richard Kent Huneycutt, Jr.; her sons-in-law, Mike Warwick and Tony Bell; and her siblings, Ruth Little and Edsel Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Lois Bele of Kannapolis, NC, Ellen McCarter (Mark) of Oakboro, NC, Loraine Huneycutt (Keith) of Albemarle, NC, Becky Warwick of Ansonville, NC, Edward Hill (Pat) of Oakboro, NC and Edith Todd (Chris) of Oakboro; her grandchildren, Chris English, Jason Huneycutt, Daniel Huneycutt, Ryan Howe, Tammy Stickney, Karen Whitley, Pam Gathings, Becky Dillard, Kelly Lorch, Natalie Helms, Amanda Helms and Anna Kennerly; and her sister Shirley Whitley (Tony) of Stanfield. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
