She was predeceased by: her parents, Obie Helms and Hettie Almond Helms; and her husband Robert Lee Smith. She is survived by: her sister Lucille H. Mills; her son Dwight Smith (Tonya Jolly); and her niece Jean Aycoth. She is also survived by other numerous nieces and nephews.
