It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melanie Dowling Edwards of Oakboro, North Carolina, born in Dade City, Florida, who passed away on May 7, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Edward Dowling and Marion Leigh DeWitt. She is survived by: her husband Richard Edwards of Oakboro, NC; her son Tim Edwards (Danielle) of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, Thomas Dowling (Leslee) of Bristol, TN and Susan Roberts (Michael) of Dade City, FL; and her grandchildren, Chloe Edwards, Carter Edwards and Clara Edwards.
