With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Juanita Goforth Carpenter of Oakboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 12, 2024 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Goforth and Annie Goforth; her husband Samuel Harold Carpenter; and her siblings, Earl Goforth and Florence Goforth.
She is survived by: her children, Joey Carpenter (April) of Oakboro and Julie Plyler (Wayland) of Oakboro; her sister Joyce Lee of Cottonville; her grandchildren, Haley Carpenter Munn (Landon) of Oakboro, Cody Plyler of Oakboro and Samuel Harold Carpenter of Oakboro; her great grandchildren, Drake and John Luke Munn; and her sister Ancel Whitley.
