He was predeceased by: his parents, Flecus Alexander Burnette and Hattie Simpson Burnette; and his siblings, Charles Burnette, Clarence Burnette, Floyd Burnette, Faye Morgan and Mary Chaney.
He is survived by: his children, Brandon Lee Burnette (Lisa) of Locust and Melanie Dawn Burnette of Oakboro; his granddaughters, Emily and Abigail Burnette; and his siblings, Lula Nance (Bruce) of Stanfield, Ann Simpson (Larry) of Concord, Judy Eudy (Mitchell) of Concord, Ted Burnette (Kay) of Midland, Ike Burnette (Margaret) of Locust and Wade Burnette (Darlene) of Monroe.
