He is survived by: his wife Margaret Griffin Owen; his children, Crystal Tompkins (Scotty) of Gainesville, GA, Angela Owen of Athens, GA, Mike Doby (Jessica Stroud) of Oakboro, NC, Marcus Doby (Sonya) of Oakboro, NC and Jessica Owen of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, Austin Tompkins (Erin), Hunter Doby, Haley Burleson (Cameron), Marlee Doby, Brice Owen-Jansen, Lexi Owen, Brooke Sousa and Casey Hartsell; his great grandchildren, Blakelee, Delilah and Riverlynne; his siblings, William Owen of Gainesville, GA, Glenda Segars (Joel) of Gainesville, GA, Sue Yarbrough of Gainesville, GA and Danny Owen (Deborah) of Gainesville, GA; his daughter-in-law Alyssa Green; his siblings-in-law, Roy Griffin and Linda Baucom; his nephew William Griffin; and his friend Sybil Austin.
