It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lee Harris of Oakboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Pless Harris and Maybelle Drake Harris; and his siblings, Clegg Harris, Bill Harris, Ted Harris, Joe Harris, Ruby Smith and Odeen Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Derenda Barbee Harris; his sisters, Joy McRae and Hazel Hudson; his friends, Tommy and Tina Ross; and his pet Finley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
