He is survived by: his wife Joreita Coble Efird; his children, Stephen Craig Efird of Oakboro, Melanie Jo Efird of Oakboro and Heather Belle Caine of Oakboro; his sister Polly Ezzard of Georgia; and his half-brother Aaron Huneycutt of Wadesboro.
