She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fred Smith and Mattie Odell Edwards Smith; her husband Marvin Smith; and her brother Bill Smith. She is survived by: her sons, Tony Smith (Teresa) of New London and Terry Smith (Bernadette) of St. Phillips, Newfoundland.; her brother Hal Smith (Lynn) of Albemarle; and her grandchildren, Teryn Smith, Charlotte Smith, Anthony Smith and Steven Smith (Julie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tillery Compassionate Care at 960 N. 1st St. Albemarle, NC or to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 17236 Frog Pond Rd. Oakboro, NC 28129.
