He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Thomas and Virginia Hill Thomas; and his brother Richard Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Irene Thomas of Oakboro, NC; his daughters, Anita Alexander (Scotty) and Terri Helms (Ben); his brothers, David Thomas and Steven Thomas; his sister-in-law Nellie Thomas; his grandchildren, Brett Morton, Jordan Morton, John Alexander, Luke Alexander and Rachel Huneycutt; and his great grandchildren, Kynleigh Alexander, Adlee Morton, Maezy Morton and Ella Alexander.
