He is survived by: his close friend Yorkie; his children, Michelle Sides (Stan) of Oakboro, NC, Pamela Denise Helms and Danny Freeman (Terry); his stepchild Jody Helms (Sara); his grandchildren, Brittany Sides, Jamie Freeman, Josh Smalls and Kayla Crowe; and his sister Ann Hilton.
