He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Columbus Morton and Flora Gerline Morton; and his brother Gary Wayne Morton. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Morton of Oakboro; his stepsons, Terry Michael Bowers and Alvie Lee Furr Jr.; his nieces and nephews, Kenny Joe Gilmore, Stevie Morton (Beth), Lanny Joe Morton, Michelle Elaine Clontz and Jessie Morton; his siblings, Lina Jacobs, Mary Pennington, Darrell Morton and Rodger Allen Morton; and his son Granger. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
