She was predeceased by: her father Rodrick Kilburn; and her sister Barbara Slater. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Gerald Staples; her stepdaughters, Nancy Staples of Mooresville and Robin Staples of Castra Valley, CA; and her siblings, Madge Elizabeth Collins and Bradley Jay Wheaton. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many loving family and friends.
