She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie W. Kennedy and Myrtle Barbee Kennedy; her husband Billy Joe Whitley; and her brother Billy C. Kennedy. She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Thompson (Jeff); her granddaughters, Casey Thompson and Amber Mullis (Greg); her great grandchildren, Jonathan Carr and Lucas Mullis; her nephew Michael Kennedy (Fran); and her close friend Marie Efird.
