He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clayton and Lura Mae Clayton of Fort Worth; and his siblings, Mary Margaret, Charles and Richard.

He is survived by: his wife Frankie Maxine Moore; his sister Charlotte Fox of Bedford; his children, Debbie Mitchell (Scott) of Cedar Park, Texas, Sherry Tolbert (David) of High Point, Kristi Adams of Austin, Texas and Kendall Clayton (Dawn) of Marble Falls, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristin, Ashley, Matthew, Kyle, Grace, Kendall Jr., Darryl, Troy and Kayla. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
