He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Sr. Marcus and Johanna Marcus (Braland); his wife Edna Hinton; his granddaughter Holly Lynn Richardson; and his brothers, Vernon, Mervin and Merle Marcus.
He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Marcus of Greensboro, NC and DeAnn Marcus (Jimmy Vaughn) of Oak Ridge, NC.; his grandchildren, Mike Becker, Brian Becker (Vicki), Jeremy Becker (Jenni), Melinda Becker and Heather Fisher (Jeremy); his great grandchildren, BreAnna, DeAnna, Josephine, Nathan, Noah, Wyatt, Lydia, Maliya, Brixton, Keila, Kierston, Braydon, Isabella and Kristen; and his great great grandchildren, McKinzie, Grayson, Leo, Easton and Wrenleigh.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Henderson Barker Funeral Home West Liberty (205 E Third St, West Liberty, IA 52776). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
